Ihr Lieben,

es ist wieder so weit. Nach jeweils einer Bauhütte im letzten und vorvergangen Jahr (schaut euch dazu gerne nochmal unseren Blog an) wollen wir das dritte Jahr in Folge gemeinsam auf Rihula unser Projekt voranbringen!

Was? Wir planen dieses Jahr mit einem erneuten Camp auf Rihula unsere estnisch-deutsche, europäische Verbindung zu stärken und gemeinsam die Gegend am Sirtsi Soo (Sirtsi-Moor) besser kennenzulernen. Nach zwei Jahren mit Fokus auf das Bauen wollen wir dieses Mal vor allem die Begegnung, den kulturellen Austausch und die Weiterentwicklung des Hofkonzepts in den Vordergrund rücken. Zugleich ist uns wichtig, dass alle etwas einbringen können, was sie interessiert, was sie gut können oder was sie kennenlernen wollen. Ob du dich für Sprache, Musik, Gesellschaft, Natur oder Handwerk begeisterst – du bist herzlich willkommen, und wir freuen uns auf dich!

Wann? Auch dieses Jahr wollen wir ab dem 10. August mit unterschiedlicher Besetzung vor Ort sein. Ihr könnt die gesamte Zeit dabei sein oder für einen kürzeren Zeitraum kommen. Es wird drei bis vier gemeinsame Anreisetermine geben und in der Anmeldung könnt ihr angeben, wann ihr dabei sein wollt.

Wo? Der alte Forsthof heißt Rihula und liegt nahe Rakvere, östlich von Tallinn. Er befindet sich in einer sehr dünn besiedelten Gegend mit viel Wald und einem Fluss direkt am Grundstück. Hier gibts ne Karte.

Wie? Wir hoffen, dass wir eine möglichst bunte und auch internationale Gruppe werden und ein freundschaftliches, respektvolles Miteinander entsteht. Sollte das mal nicht gelingen, wird es immer Ansprechpersonen geben, an die ihr euch wenden könnt. Einige von uns sind oder waren in verschiedenen bündischen Gruppen aktiv, andere wiederum nicht. Rihula ist offen für alle, ob mit Bezug zur bündischen Jugend oder ohne. Wir möchten gerne, dass sich alle auf dem Hof wohlfühlen, deswegen soll das Camp auch dieses Jahr wieder weitestgehend alkoholfrei sein.

Noch was? Ja,der 22.08.! An diesem Tag wollen wir Rihula in ein Hofcafé verwandeln, zu dem alle Interessierten eingeladen sind. Im gesamten Landkreis wird es auf verschiedenen Höfen Cafés geben, somit ergibt sich bestimmt auch die Möglichkeit für einen Ausflug.

Sicherheitshinweis: Bitte achte darauf, dass du auslandskrankenversichert und ggf. unfallversichert bist, da der Verein selbst keine zusätzliche Unfallversicherung abgeschlossen hat. Check’ am besten auch gleich deinen Impfpass. In Rihula gibt es viele Zecken, wir empfehlen also dringend eine FSME-Impfung.

Kost und Logis stemmen wir als Verein. Die Verpflegung in Rihula ist überwiegend vegetarisch. Die Fahrtkosten werden wir nicht pauschal übernehmen können. Für die Organisation der Anreise (z.B. mit Fernbus oder Fahrgemeinschaften) bringen wir die Informationen aus euren Anmeldungen zusammen und schlagen einen Plan vor. Deshalb kauft bitte noch keine Tickets o.ä. bis wir uns nach Mitte Juni bei euch melden!

Infotreffen! Voraussichtlich am 15. Juni machen wir eine kleine Online-Einführung in das Projekt und ein kurzes Kennenlernen der diesjährigen Runde. Alle, die sich bis dahin angemeldet haben, werden automatisch eingeladen. Wir freuen uns auf euch!

Invitation to the third Rihula camp

Dear friends,

It’s time again! After two successful workcamps last year and the year before (feel free to check out our blog again), we’re heading to Rihula for the third year in a row to move our project forward together.

What? This year, with another camp at Rihula, we want to strengthen our Estonian–German, European connection and get to know the area around Sirtsi Soo better together. After two years focused on building, this time we want to put meeting one another, cultural exchange, and the further development of our estate concept front and center. At the same time, it’s important to us that everyone can contribute something they’re interested in, good at, or curious to learn. Whether you’re passionate about language, music, community life, nature, or crafts—you’re warmly welcome, and we’re excited to have you!

When? This year, 2026, we plan to be on site starting 10th of August with a rotating group. You can join us for the entire period or come for a shorter stay. There will be three to four common arrival dates, and you can indicate your preferred period of time at the camp in the registration form.

Where? Rihula is a historic forester’s estate located near Rakvere, east of Tallinn, Estonia. It’s situated in a beautifully remote area surrounded by forests, with a river running right through the property. Here is a map.

What’s the vibe? We’re hoping to bring together a diverse, international group of people and create an atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect. If any issues arise, there will always be designated contact persons available to help. Some of us are or have been active in various organizations of the germans youth movement, while others have not. Our group is open to everyone, whether or not you have a connection to youth organizations like the scout movement etc. Last but not least: We want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome at Rihula, so we’re keeping the camp largely alcohol-free.

Something special? Yes, August 22! On that day, we plan to turn Rihula into a farm café, and everyone is invited. There will be cafés at various farms throughout the county, so it’s also a great opportunity for a day trip.

Important health note: Please make sure you have international health insureance and, possibly, accident insurance. Also check your vaccination status. There are many ticks in Rihula, so we strongly recommend getting a TBE (tick-borne encephalitis) vaccination.

We as an association will cover the costs of food and accommodation. The prepared meals will be mostly vegetarian. However, we will not be able to cover any travel costs. For those traveling from far away, we will help organize transportation options (like long-distance buses or carpooling) based on your registration information and suggest a travel plan. Therefore, please do not purchase any tickets until we contact you after mid-June!

We expect to have a short online introduction to the project on June 15 and a brief introduction to this year’s group. Everyone who has registered by then will automatically be invited. We look forward to seeing you there!
