After the 'Bergfest', work continues. The new team first has to familiarize themselves with the many construction sites, but nevertheless has a really productive first few days: The barn roof is stripped, plastering work is completed, and at the same time progress is made in the garden. Even Motte the dog is clearly feeling at home.
We celebrate the end of the first half of our construction project with a 'Bergfest'. To our surprise, a lot of guests arrive - we even have visitors from Helsinki. After a glass of sparkling wine and some good food, we manage to communicate, sometimes in Estonian, sometimes in German, English or Russian.
This week also marks the end of the first half of our construction work. To celebrate, we invited friends and neighbors to the 'Bergfest'. The last few days of the week are all about preparing for the party, making cozy seating furniture and collecting mushrooms.
We take a short trip and help Marju and Georg with the woodwork. Many building sites are are getting close to completion, some old mess is finally being cleared up and the landscaping work is starting in the green area. In addition to a bench by the river, home-made fishing nets and a house with a hat, there are also jam pancakes and baskets full of chanterelles.
