It’s a bit crazy. We founded our association over a year ago and today we finally have a bank account. Why did it take so long? You certainly don’t want to know that exactly, because that would be a rather long and complicated story. Here’s the short version: association registration, non-profit status, general meeting has a say in financial matters, account opening rejected. In any case, it all costed us a few nerves and nights of sleep!

But the actually important thing is that we now have an account and have been a registered association with recognized charitable status. This means that we can accept donations and issue donation receipts and we hope to be able to do this very busily now.
